2004 John Edwards Unusual #44 Campaign John Deere Baseball Cap. In Edwards 2004 campaign strategy in Iowa was to associate the John Deere "Nothing Runs Like a Deere" slogan to Edwards campaign. In fact, the January 18, 2004 episode of NBC News Meet The Press broadcast a segment where Tim Russert held up and showcased a John Edwards John Deere campaign hat during its live broadcast. We haven't been able to find a clip of that show but it sure sounds like it may have been one of these hats. Original.
George W. Bush was the 43rd President. If a challenger like John Edwards had in fact defeated Bush in Bush's re-election campaign, then he would have been the 44th President.
