1954 Joseph McCarthy "Camp" Senate Hearing UPI Photo. United Press Photo and caption titled "McCarthy Camp (actually misspelled in the headline as "McCarty Camp". Photo includes Roy Cohn, Senator McCarthy, Francis (misspelled as "Farncis". The title of the committee was "Committee on Government Operatoins Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. His aggressive tactics and accusations against the U.S. army, eventually letd to his censure by the Senate. Original. With attached caption below and the UPI Photo stamp on the reverse.
Joseph McCarthy is best known for his aggressive hearings in the U.S. Senate alleging that numerous communists and Soviet spies and sympathizers had infiltrated the United States federal government, universities, film industry.
