Signed & Inscribed Photograph of Woodow Wilson Chief of Staff & Private Secretary Joseph Tumulty . Tumulty served as Woodrow Wilson's Private Secretary during WIlson's terms as New Jersey Governor and U.S. President. Under President Woodrow Wilson, he also served at various times as White House Chief of Staff,  press secretary, public relations manager, campaign organizer and advisor. The clear and bold photograph is inscribed at the bottom "To may watchful friend", a Lieutenant in the White House Police. Housed in the original presentation folder. 

From the collection of a former White House Police Force officer and White House Doorkeeper. 

Historical Notes

In 1921 Tumulty published a memoir, "Woodrow WIslon As I know him" that so enraged Woodrow Wilson that be essentially banished Tumulty from Wilson's life.
