Lynda Johnson & Chuck Robb – Personally Inscribed Photograph to LBJ White House Aide Lenore Haag

An attractive, personally inscribed photograph of Lynda Bird Johnson, eldest daughter of President Lyndon B. Johnson, and her husband, Charles "Chuck" Robb, presented to Lenore Haag, a special assistant in the Johnson White House.

The photograph features a smiling Lynda Johnson and Chuck Robb in a warm, informal portrait, with a handwritten inscription beneath the image:

"To Lenore Haag, With appreciation and best wishes, Lynda Johnson & Chuck Robb."

We believed that it is likely that Lynda Johnson's signed for Chuck Robb. 

Of particular importance is the photograph's provenance. Lenore Haag served on President Johnson's White House staff and was affectionately referred to by LBJ as his "favorite White House Gal Friday." This photograph, along with other Johnson White House memorabilia, was acquired directly from Ms. Haag's collection.

Lynda Johnson and Marine Corps Captain Chuck Robb were married on December 9, 1967, in a celebrated White House ceremony. Robb subsequently served as Governor of Virginia and United States Senator.

The photograph remains in its simple wooden vintage-style frame with green matting. The photograph exhibits an overall greenish coloration, possibly related to its original presentation or subsequent aging. The reverse retains a Washington, D.C., framing and styling stamp from a Washington D.C. framer.
