1968 United Citizens for Nixon Agriculture for Nixon Letter & More. Group of items from the collection of Gary Burhop that worked for the United Citizens for Nixon campaign committee and was also in charge of distribution of campaign literature to offices around the country. Original  Includes:

1. Letter from Bob Spitzer to Delegates from of the Republican Convention dated July 29, 1968 on Agriculture for Nixon letterhead. Stateing the "I arrive in Miami with a complete committment to RIchard M. Nixon."

2. "Nixon for Blacks." One page article reprint from the Wisconsin State Journal dated May 23 1968, distributed by the United Citizens for Nixon committee. 

3. "The Delegates of 1968: A Test ofr America" by Richard M Nixon. Printed press release of Nixon address on the NBC Radio Network and distributed by the United Citizens for Nixon Committee. 

4. "A printed Press Release An Address by Richard M.Nixon on the NBC Radio Network dated March 7, 1968. PRinted by the Nixon for President Committee and distributed by the United Citizens for Nixon committee. 

5. Memo distributed to staff dated August 1, 1968 regarding staff transportation to the republican national convention. 

Historical Notes

The United Citizens for Nixon committee was renamed "United Citizens for Nixon-Agnew" after the republican national convention officially became Nixon's running mate during the convention.
