1960 Nixon Lodge Zionist Blunder?  Campaign postcard produced by the Citizens Committee for a Democratic Foreign Policy, urging voters to vote for the complete democratic ticket. The card reprings an article from the New York Mirror, September 1, 1960 titled "LOdge Mideast Role Stirs Ire. The article states that Nixon told the Zionist Organization of America that he would send his vice presidential running mate Henry Cabot Lodge to the Middle East "to settle problems between Israel and the Arab states. But the article goes on to state that "there is nobody in America who is considered by Zionists more anti-Israel than Henry Cabot Lodge".  Original.

Historical Notes

"... hist blooper could very well mean that New York State, where the Jewish vote is heavy, will go Democratic."
