1971 Nixon Presidential Trip Press Badge Issued to Correspondent Who Sued ABC. This numbered press pass was issued to Bill Gill and ABC (American Broadcasting Company) correspondent Bill Gill for the December 12 1971 trip of President Richard Nixon to the Azores. Later, Bill Gill sued ABC alleging contractural breaches by the network and a diagreement over whether the network kept too close a liason with the White House during the Presidency of Richard Nixon.
