Guests at the event included Football Commissioner Pete Rozelle and Howard Johnson and the evening's performance was by opera signer Beverly Sills.  As part of RIchard Nixon's speech at the event he said about Ms Sills, "She's achieved something that's eluded me through almost my whole career. She received a favorable notice in The Washington Post." 4 pgs. Original.
