1972 Official George McGovern & Sargent Shriver Huge 7 FT Campaign Poster Sign. If you're looking for a statement piece from the 1972 presidential election during the vietnam war and the Watergate break in, at 7 ft wide this is it. "McGovern Shriver '72" bold white on bright blue sign / poster. The bottom inscription identifies it as coming from the "McGovern for President, N.Y. Inc." committee. We don't recall ever seeing this huge poster /sign before. It's big, stored on stiff paper and it has been rolled up and stored for years so it is curled and hard to photograph. Original.
Historical Notes
In the 1972 presidential election George McGovern won only the District of Columbia and the state of Massachusetts.
