1968 "Poor People's Campaign Civil Rights Protest Button. Prior to his assassination Martin Luther King  began preparations for the Poor People's Campaign. After his assassination, memers of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference follwed through on Martin Luther King's plans and held a multi-week event to advocate for the plight of the poor.  On the curl/edge is the notation that the N.G. Slater Corp was the amker and the "official Mfr" for the event. Original.
