This ticket is for the Presentation Ceremony held June 3, 1976 at the Great Rotunda of the United States Capitol in commemoration of the United States Bicentennial. Held during the term of President Gerald R. Ford.
The tickets have facsimile signatures of Speaker Carl Albert and Mike Mansfield the Majority Leader of the Senate, both of whom were in London for the ceremony at Westminster Hall.
Nice ticket with ornate gold printing "Magna Carta" in the center. Original.
In 1976, during a visit to Great Britain, a congressional delegation received a gold-embossed reproduction of the Magna Carta. The gift by the British Parliament to Congress commemorated America’s Bicentennial..
It was made during a ceremony at Westminster Hall in London. Among those present were House Speaker Carl Albert, House Majority Leader Tip O’Neill and Senate Majority Leader Mike Mansfield.
