Includes an invitation to a reception held at the White House and envelope addressed to a member of the Department of State, a ticket to the "Young Citizens for Johnson Rally" held at the 1964 Democratic National Convention, an invitation to attend a reception honoring permanent representatives to the United Nations, a VIP Alternate Delegate ticket to the Convention, inauguration day cover, two campaign buttons , a large LBJ USA stocker, postcard and complete matchbook. Original.
President Lyndon B. Johnson was saved from death during World War II by a last-minute bathroom trip when, as a naval officer, LBJ was assigned to a bombing run over the South Pacific, but he left his assigned plane to use the latrine. When he returned, he boarded a different aircraft, and his original plane, the Wabash Cannonball, crashed with no survivors.
