State Dinner hosted by President Richard M. Nixon in honor of Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia on July 8, 1969. Original.
From the collection of a former White House staff member.
Emperor Haile Selassie was deposed in a military coup on September 12, 1974, and the Provisional Military Administrative Council (PMAC) headed by General Aman Michael Andom took control of the government on September 13, 1974.
