1904 Scarce Roosevelt & Fairbanks Campaign Ribbon With N.Y. Higgins and Bruce. Coattails ribbon with button that promotes Theodore Roosevelt and Charles Fairbanks for President and Vice President, and New York candidates Frank Higgins and Mathew Bruce for New York Governor and Lt Governor. Teel color ribbon with gold letttering with 1.25" black on off-white button at the top with eagle carrying what appears to be a ballot box. Original.
Frank W. Higgins was a Republican politician who served as the Governor of New York from 1905 to 1906. Before becoming governor, he gained political experience as a state senator and lieutenant governor. Known for his efforts to reform state government, Higgins focused on regulating public utilities and fighting corruption.
