1994 Sonny Bono for U.S. Congress California Campaign Button. Actor singer, songwriter, Sonny Bono had served as the 16th mayor of Palm Springs, California from 1988 to 1992 and then as the U.S. Representative for the 44th district in California from 1995 until his death on a ski slope in 1998. His buttons are increasingly difficutl to find and popular with both political and entertainment collectors. Original.
In 1998 the U.S. Copyright Term Extenstion Act was extended for twenty years and named in honor of Sonny Bono when passeed, nine months after this death.
