1910 Not Often Seen "Taft Day" Chicago Newspaper Club Ticket. On March 17, 1910 President Taft visited Chicago and attended the St. Patrick's day parade and attended a special reception, and gave an improptu speech, at the Chicago Newspaper Club. During his visit a woman made repeated attemps to get into the President's car and was arrested.  On the same date ground was broken and the cornerstone laid for Comiskey Park, which would become the new home of the Chicago White Sox but we see no reference to Taft attending the ground-breaking ceremony. Orignal ticket.

Historical Notes

President William Taft is that he is the only person in U.S. history to have served as both President of the United States and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court
