1909 William Taft Inaugural Ball Ceremonies Program. Original eight page program with the Inauguration ceremonies logo at the top. Includes the list of entertainers, dances and the menu. Includes an envelope with the Arlington hotel in Washington, D.C. insignia that was postmarked in Washington D.C. on March 5, 1909, which was likely sent to a family member or friend as a gift the day after the inauguration. Just a few months later the Arlington Hotel burned down. Official.
Due to a blizzard, the inauguration of William Howard Taft as the 27th president of the United States was held on Thursday, March 4, 1909, at the Senate chamber inside the United States Capitol, Washington, D.C., instead of the regular East Portico.
