A scarce poster that depicts Roosevelt on horseback in military attire, holding an upraised sword in one hand and the reins in the other. The background shows other soldiers from the 1st United States Volunteer Cavalry Regiment, also known as the "Rough Riders".
Kurz & Allison, a Chicago-based firm founded in 1885, gained fame for producing vivid, detailed chromolithographs depicting historical events, particularly Civil War battles. Their prints blended historical accuracy with dramatic, artistic flair, appealing to patriotic sentiment. These lithographs remain collectible today, valued for their artistic quality and historical significance.
