USS Ronald Reagan USS CVN 76 Fitz and Floyd Dinner Bowl. Produced for the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan "In Honor of the Adoption of USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) June 16, 2000". With the ship and USNL logos. 8.5" in diameter. Beautiful cobalt blue and gold colors. The border has a cobalt blue band and a strip of maroon with gold dashes and gold around the rim. The plate is stamped with the gold eagle of the Presidential Seal and surrounded by gold stars The design was patterned and slightly altered from the Fitz & Floyd Starburst pattern used at Cap David and on Air Force One during President Reagan's presidency. Adopted by and presented through the generosity of the Santa Barbara Council Navy League of the United States. Original.
As normally happened with a carrier about to become part of the Navy's fleet, the Navy League sought funding for quality of life improvements aboard the USS CVN 76. The league's Santa Barbara council adopted the ship on June 16, 2000 and issued these plates as part of their fund raising efforts.
