1940 Republican National Convention "Order of Business" - The convention nominated Wendell Willkie to be the Republican party candidate for president in 1940.  The program schedule shows an address on June 25th of the convention by the Honorable Herbert Hoover. 4 pgs. Orignal.

Historical Notes

Noteworthy is the comment on the bottom of each page the encourges delegates and alternate delegates to be in their seats promptly "because of radio commitments", since regional television broadcasts of the convention didn't begin until 1948 and the first nationwide coverage of a political convention was in 1952.
