1997 White House Rabin–Peres Peace Prize Luncheon Menu – Clinton Era Middle East Diplomacy. This original 4" × 7" White House luncheon menu, dated November 21, 1997, features a gold-embossed presidential seal and gilt edging. Issued for the presentation of the Rabin–Peres Peace Prize, the event honored the legacy of Israeli leaders Yitzhak Rabin and Shimon Peres and celebrated ongoing U.S. support for Middle East peace efforts. Original.
The Rabin–Peres Peace Prize was created to recognize leadership in pursuing reconciliation and regional stability following the Oslo Accords, which Rabin and Peres helped negotiate. The White House hosted the 1997 presentation to underscore America’s diplomatic role and President Clinton’s close relationship with both men. The luncheon symbolized continued commitment to Israeli-Palestinian peace initiatives during the late 1990s.
