Campaign button is from William McKinley and Theodore Roosevelt's 1900 election campaign. Great gold, red, and white colors with strong photo of McKinley and Roosevelt. Original of course. Includes original Whitehead & Hoag backpaper still attached on reverse. The Gold background is a reference to McKinley's "sound money" approach. Original.

William McKinley died September 14, 1901, in Buffalo, N.Y., 8 days after he was shot by a young anarchist, Leon Czolgosz.
