1968 Scarce "Athletes for Nixon" Sports Celebrities Campaign Mailer. Interesting Richard "Dick" Nixon campaign foldout mailer. "Back a Real "Pro" in '68!" Includes quotes and photos from a host of sports personalities including, Bart Star, Ralph Houk, Ted Williams, Wilt Chamberlain, Whitey Ford, Brooks Robinson and many more. Original.
From the extensive collection of 1968 Richard Nixon campaign ephemera of Gary Burhop. How did Mr. Burhop acquire such an extensive collection? Simple, he and one other person were in charge of buttons, bumper stickers, pamplets and other paper items for shipping to stae and local campaign organizations.
"Athletes For Nixon is a group of American sportsmen and sportswomen who believe that Dick Nixon's election to the Presidency will put our country's "First team" on the field... and that nothing less will do."
