Held on November 26th 1930, the Bachelors dance was a staple of the social crowd in Delaware. Over 600 well to do people attended this event that highlight the social club season. The event was held at the du Pont Biltmore hotel and many members of the du Pont family were committee members who helped stage the event. Original.
The du Pont family was one of the richest families in the United States since the mid-19th century, when it founded its fortune in the gunpowder business.
