Civil War Union General George McClellan Albumen Badge With Card. Reverse of card reads: "Made with Wing's Patent Multiplying Camera. Only. At Geo W. Godrey & CO's. Sunbeam Gallery. Over 81 Main St. Rochester, N.Y.
The albumen print, also called albumen silver print, was published in January 1847 by Louis Desire Blanquart-Evard, and was the first commercially exploitable method of producing a photographic print on a paper base from a negative.
