1864 George McClellan's Campaign Pamphlet vs Abraham Lincoln. Letter of Geo. B. McClellan in acceptance of his nomination for President at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Titled "Campaign Document No. 1 and dated September 8, 1864, it spells out McClellan's position that the Lincoln administration was mishandling the civil war and suppression certain rights. . "General McClellan's Letter of Acceptance". On the reverse is "Watchwords for Patriots / Mottoes for the campaign, selected from General McClellan's writings.". 8 pgs. Original. 

Historical Notes

"At the beginning of the war, the administration said that, if we would give them seventy-five thousand men, they woudl put down resitance. You gave them seventy-five thousand, and the resistance was not put down."
