2001 "I Survived The Clinton White House" Coaster.  The New York Times it its review of Sidney Blumenthal's account of the stress depression and exhaustion experienced by Clinton staffers, wrote that John Podesta, the president's chief of staff, gave senior staff members a Lucite paperweight, that  "John Podesta, the president's chief o staff, gave senior members a Lucite papwerweight" it depicted a roller coaster encircling the White House and was inscribed, 'I Survived the Clinton White House 1993-2001'"). While this is not lucite it does appear mimic the one referred to by Podesta and is part of a collection of a former White House staff member. Original.

Historical Notes

It was also reported by CNN in an interview with Kelly Wallace a White House correspondent, that past and current staffers got together for an "I Survived the Clinton White House party" held shortly before the Clinton administration left office in 2001. We believe these coasters were likely distributed at that party.
