1952 John F. Kennedy U.S. Senate Campaign Display Card in Metal Frame – Boston HQ Scarce Early JFK Political Memorabilia. Offered here is an authentic and highly attractive 1952 presidential-era campaign display card from the successful United States Senate campaign of John F. Kennedy in Massachusetts.

The two-sided campaign card features a large bold photographic portrait of the young Kennedy accompanied by the slogan:

“He Will Do More for Massachusetts”

The reverse side is headed:

“The Record Proves That Kennedy Fights For…”

and outlines campaign themes and accomplishments promoted during Kennedy’s historic 1952 Senate race against longtime incumbent Senator Henry Cabot Lodge Jr.

Particularly significant is the printed campaign information identifying:

  • Chairman John J. Droney of Cambridge, Massachusetts
  • Treasurer John J. Ford of Brookline, Massachusetts
  • Kennedy campaign headquarters at 44 Kilby Street, Boston

The 44 Kilby Street headquarters is firmly associated with Kennedy’s landmark 1952 Senate campaign and helps definitively date the piece to that election rather than his 1958 re-election campaign.

The card measures approximately 3.75" x 6.5" and is housed in an attractive vintage-style metal desk frame, making it ideal for display in a political collection, office, library, or presidential memorabilia exhibit.

Unlike later and far more common presidential campaign material, early Senate-era Kennedy items are considerably scarcer and capture JFK before his rise to the national stage and eventual election to the presidency in 1960.

A wonderful original piece of early Kennedy political history and Massachusetts campaign memorabilia. Original, of course.

Historical Notes

The 1952 Massachusetts Senate race transformed John F. Kennedy from a relatively young congressman into a national political figure. His upset victory over Senator Henry Cabot Lodge Jr. was considered one of the most important Democratic victories of the election cycle and laid the groundwork for Kennedy’s rapid ascent within the Democratic Party. Campaign material from this pivotal race is especially desirable because it predates Kennedy’s presidency and documents the formative years of the Kennedy political legacy
