1776. American Revolutionary politican and first signer of the Declaration of Independence, President of the Continental Congress and two-time Governor of Massachusetts. Autopgraph Document Signed (ADS). Dated Boston, February 14, 1766 a signed draft ordering the Office of Ordnance in the Tower of London to pay Hancock twenty pounds. On the reverse, John Hancock writes: "Plese to pay the Contents to Messrs. Barnard & Harrison or on value rec'd John Hancock". 

Professionally, beautifully and cleverly matted and ornately framed with hinged frame at the bottom allowing both the front and back of the draft to be seen. Includes a commemorative plaque and engraving of Hancock "from the original picture by Chappel in the possession of the publishers".
