Historical Notes

Gerald Ford, the Former President of the U. S. was involved in the creation of a definitive and very different study of the American Presidency. A history of America's highest office that focuses not only on the men who have held it, but also on the events that have shaped that great office. This history is being recorded in a series of 100 commemorative medals. Gerald R. Ford, the 38th President of the U. S., re-examined the history of the Presidency and chose the 100 events in the history of the U. s. that were most influential in shaping the nature of that office. Important, exciting and controversial events that have  defined and dramatized the extent of our President's powers.
