President Rutherford B. Hayes Original Autograph – Framed Display with Authentication

Original Signature of America's 19th President – Acquired in the 1950s

An attractive, professionally matted and framed display featuring the original handwritten signature of Rutherford B. Hayes, 19th President of the United States (1877–1881).

The bold presidential autograph, signed "R. B. Hayes," is presented beneath an engraved portrait of Hayes and above a descriptive identification plaque. The handsome presentation features a rich brown mat with gold accents, complemented by an ornate gold-tone frame.

Of particular interest is the signature's documented provenance. The autograph was acquired by a collector in the 1950s and was subsequently authenticated in 2002 by Conway Barker, a Charter Member of The Manuscript Society. The display is accompanied by a notarized Certificate of Authenticity documenting this history.

The signature itself is an original handwritten autograph, not a reproduction. The professional matting and framing are of more recent manufacture and should not be confused with a period presentation.

An appealing addition to a presidential autograph collection, combining an authentic 19th-century presidential signature, attractive presentation, and documented collector provenance.
