1905 Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Day Breakfast Program – Union League Club of Brooklyn. This elegant four-page program was issued for the Breakfast to President Theodore Roosevelt hosted by the Union League Club of Brooklyn on Decoration Day, May 30, 1905. Roosevelt personally attended the event as part of his Memorial Day visit to New York, where he was honored by city leaders and reviewed military ceremonies. The cover features a striking Great Seal of the United States in raised gold lettering, with an ornate internal layout and the original menu printed inside. A distinguished piece linking Roosevelt’s presidency to one of the era’s most influential Republican civic organizations. Original.
The Union League Club of Brooklyn was a powerful Republican civic organization in the early 20th century, strongly aligned with Progressive ideals and national party leadership. It promoted civil service reform, patriotism, and veteran support, and regularly hosted presidents, cabinet officials, and key political strategists.
