1975 Partial and Original Presidential Seal From Air Force One

This is an artifact you certainly don't see every day in any condition.
In 1975, Air Force One (VC-137c 72-7000) received a new paint job. A maintenace Crew Chief on the presidential aircraft wanted to save the seal of the presidents emblem from the side of the plane. As you can see from the photos he was only partially successful, but how many actual seals - in any conditon- exist that were actually on the president's aircraft! Since the emblem had adhesive attached when removed, the crew member attached it to a large piece of paper and then rolled. On the lower portion of the seal remains.
Written on the paper is the crew member's inscription "Part of Presidential Seal from side of VC-137c 72-7000 with new paint job Apr. 75".
Along with the emblem we will include provenance showing the crew members name (actually he was a Crew Chief) and other information that was included in the collection we acquired from the son.
If this were the entire emblem the value would obviously be signficance. But it is only a bottom portion. What is it worth in this condition is difficult to determine, but its no doubt one of the only opportunities you will ever have to own a a seal ofAir Force One-even if only a portion.We have attached a photo of the Aircraft with the seal but it is just for reference, it is not included.
