1952 original button promoting Richard Russell for the Democratic nomination for President. Russell was a nominee for for the Democratic nomination in 1948 and 1952. Russell served as the 66th Governor of Georgia from 1931 to 1933 and then served as a United States Senator. Large 4" size.

Historical Notes

At the 1948 convention he received 263 votes from ten southern states that were looking for an alternative to Truman and his civil rights platform.
