On this date, January 22, 1999, Senators begin two days of questioning of the prosecution and defense teams, passing written queries through Chief Justice William Rehnquist.The reverse of the ticket lists the rules for the session. Stamped date on side of ticket. In 1999, for only the second time in United States history, the Senate conducted an impeachment trial of a President.
