Very attractive full size US Presidential Service medal in case with lapel pin and red, white and blue ribbon bar. Full size badge is in excellent condition. Original case with "United States of America" imprinted in gold on the cover. Full size badge measures about two inches across. Three pins on the back to pin it on. Original.
The Presidential Service Badge (PSB) is an identification badge of the United States Armed Forces which is awarded to members of the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Coast Guard as well as other members of the Uniformed Services, who serve as full-time military staff to the President of the United States.
Executive Order 10879 of June 1, 1960 was signed by President Dwight D. Eisenhower establishing a White House Service Badge. President Lyndon B. Johnson retired the White House Service Badge and issued a separate Presidential Service Badge by signing Executive Order 11174 on September 1, 1964.
